Manufacturing Complete + Shipping Updates

Rap Godz is ALIVE!

Rap Godz has been completely manufactured and is being packed up for the long journey across the ocean. It's been great working with Panda Manufacturing and we're so happy we used them for our first board game Kickstarter project. 

Now for  the difficult part of this update...

New Shipping Plan 

We had a plan to handle the distribution of the games independently. As things were getting closer we ran into some issue securing the warehousing we needed to receive and store the games when they arrive from the manufacturer. That ultimately turned into one too many added expenses and we had to shift to our backup plan and now we will be using a third party to deliver the games from Kickstarter. The unfortunate part of this plan is that we might be delayed a few more weeks, pushing our final delivery of Rap Godz into November. The great part about the new plan is that we are using one of the most reputable Kickstarter delivery companies in the business so hopefully things go much smoother with shipping and as promised, we are still on track to deliver before the holidays. 

Updating Your Shipping Address

The most frequent questions that I get from people are about wanting to update their shipping address because they have moved since the campaign ended. You are able to update your address yourself if you use the link in the original email you received from us about backing Rap Godz via Backerkit.com. 

If you aren't able to find the email, we will be sending out a final notice to update shipping addresses on October 28. You will have 48 hours to update your email address once you receive that email and link.

We are going to be sorting out our convention plans over the next couple weeks so hopefully we can let you know more about where you can get a copy of Rap Godz if you haven't already. 

Final Manufacturing Phase Reached!

WE DID IT!

Everything has been completed on our end for manufacturing! They are now in the last step of printing and packaging all of the games as we speak! This is a tiny moment where we get to breathe as we wait for this process to be done. Soon as packaging is wrapped up the entire shipment will be shipped to us and then we will be able to send them out to you! As long as we don't get news of any mass production snags, we should be able to provide a more accurate delivery date range soon. 

Product Photoshoot!

Since we have one copy of the Pre-Production version of Rap Godz (which is very close to the final product) we decided to get some good clean photos taken. We've had a couple weeks to show it off so it has a few tiny bumps and bruises but we're ok with that for now :) Here's a few of the shots we took:

BGB Online Store Now Open!

Now that we have some pretty pictures of the game we are able to launch our ONLINE STORE! If you missed your chance to secure a copy of Rap Godz during Kickstarter, get it now! The shop is open :)

Hi Everyone! It's been a while since our last update so we have a lot to share!

Conventions, Conventions, Conventions!

We're finishing up a month full of traveling showing of Rap Godz and Graffiti Knights, with a trip to GenCon in Indianapolis this weekend. We had an amazing time at BlerDCon in DC, with one amazing player with a wild card come from behind victory in the Graffiti Knights tournament to secure a copy of Graffiti Knights AND Rap Godz. We followed that up with a trip to Knoxville for the 5th Annual Board Game Day organized by our good friend and  Connor Cole (also a game designer!). Next was Harlem, where we had a table at the Game Devs of Color Expo. We ran short demos Rap Godz for pretty much 8 hours straight and it was one of the best experiences we've had at a show. 

Now we're headed to GenCon!!! We will have the pre-production copy of Rap Godz with us, so if you want to take a peek at it. Just let us know! We are also running demos of Graffiti Knights all weekend in the First Exposure Playtest Hall. Here's the our schedule poster if you are going to be there: 

Kickstarter Delivery Schedule

I'm sad to announce that we are a few weeks past our projections so fingers crossed we don't get delayed anymore. We initially wanted to deliver by the end of August, but it looks like we are more likely to deliver and the end of September or early October. Unfortunately a few things are still up in the air so we will try to share as much as we can as we have more information. I can promise that we are absolutely going to deliver in 2019, if that gives you any comfort (!).

OH MY GOURDS!!!

Sooooo this crazy thing happen where me and my friend Matt, designed a simple game in the car on the way to Knoxville. Also, we played it and it's really fun! We decided that weekend to try to #BreakKickstarter by launching a project exactly one week from the moment we came up with the idea for the game! It was insane...we had to playtest, modify, redesign, shoot a video, make a campaign page, and get some preliminary art in 7 days. AND WE DID IT! Kickstarter didn't approve the page fast enough for us to launch in 7 days soooooo we are launching right now!
